Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Minimates Review : Super Skrull & Crimson Viper

Hi there!
This here is my review of some Minimates that came out a few months back (that I recently found at my local comic shop  that are from the crossover fighting game: Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Which includes: C Viper and Super Skrull who are fired up and ready to go.

For those of you who don't know what Minimates are:
Minimates are 2 inch Lego-like action figures that have 14 points of articulation, have interchangeable parts, and have various lines like Marvel, Ghost Busters, Halo, and more to choose from.

Anyway find out my thoughts on these minimates after the jump!

First off we have the Marvel's : Super Skull.
Known as being one of the many enemies of the Fantastic 4 and for having a super power that separates him from the rest of their enemies. Actually make that four!
Since after the Skrull's invasion of earth was thwarted by the heroic Fantastic 4, the Skrulls decided to genetically-engineer one of their very own to have all four powers of each of the Fantastic 4.
With the rockiness of the Thing, the stretchiness of Mr. Fantastic, the invisibility of Invisible Woman, and the fiery flames of the Human Torch,
this Skrull is not one to be taken lightly.
It's not called a Super Skrull for nothing!

I'm not a big fan of Skrulls myself but I must say that this is a cool minimate.
First he comes with a two sets of legs (normal and Mr Fantastic ones pictured above), a flame piece for his arm, a Thing hand, and a Mr Fantastic arm (also pictured above). So basically, his actually minimate is pretty basic with only a neck piece and hat. But! It's the accessories that really make this mini shine.
The playability on this guy is pretty good considering all the things you can do with him. Plenty of posing options too.
Though I must say that I think the detailing is quite good and the colors are nice too.

Also his stretchy stand thingy (I have no idea what to call it but it's in the pic above) is really neat. You can actually fit another minimate inside of it!
You'll see soon enough in the next picture. ;3

Overall as a basic minimate, it's pretty nice but the accessories add so much to an already nice looking and playable minimate.

Next up from Capcom's side of the fight, we have Crimson Viper
Fairly new to the Street Fighter series since her first appearance in Street Fighter IV that was released in 2009 (with more updated versions of the same game coming out in the years following..), she's actually become pretty popular with fans (including myself).

Being a highly trained undercover CIA agent with superior physical abilities and a special battle suit she made herself that gives her all the covert fighting tools she needs to get the job done efficiently,
she's definitely not a single mother you'd ever want to mess with I can assure ya.

She's mostly a basic minimate except for the sculpted hair (which is really nice). But even if she doesn't have much sculpting and the detail is what some might call minimal, this is still a good looking minimate.
Her face and torso are done quite well as are her shoes, gloves, and belt.
The hair piece has a lot of detail.
I'm not exactly sure why her minimate is dark blue instead of black, but I guess her outfit is more bluish in MvC3 than it is in SF4.

Also she is very playable and pose-able too. She also comes with a fire accessorie that can be put over her hand to appear that's she's giving a firey punch, and she comes with a clear stand too which I think is great and that I hope one day comes with all minimates. Well it has one foot peg where you put the minimates foot on. But when you do, there a countless posing possibilties since it's so well balanced.

Anyway besides the stand, this minimate overall it neat and will make a great addition to your Street Fighter Minimates you might have thanks to the old Street Fighter line
or from the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 line.

The Minimates with their accessories

Overall this pack is a pretty good two pack of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 minimates.
So if you like any of the characters or the game or minmates in general and would recommend you pick up this pack at your local comic shop.

Sorry I don't have packaging pictures but my camera refused to take any that didn't look like crap. -.-
Next time I'll be able to provide pictures of them.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed reading the review and checking out my pics.
Be sure to check back soon for more reviews and other things! :3
See ya next time!
