A Comparison Between Soul Calibur 2 and Soul Calibur 4

Hi there,
 Today I'd like to discuss and compare two Soul Calibur games from different eras and different gaming consoles.
Recently I bought SC2 (Soul Calibur 2) from my local Gamestop for about 8 bucks since
I've heard a lot about how great SC2 was and how much better it was compared to SC4 (Soul Calibur 4) and I wanted to see for myself first hand.

SC2 was originally released in 2003 for the GameCube,Xbox, and the PlayStation 2 with each of the consoles having exclusive characters as follows: Link (Legend of Zelda), Spawn (Todd McFarlane),Heihachi Mishima (Tekken).
While SC4 was released in 2008 for the Xbox360 and the PlayStation 3 with exclusive Star Wars characters for each console: Yoda (360), Darth Vader (PS3) The Apprentice (Both).

Amagami SS Thoughts (spoiler free as possible!)

I remember about a year ago (?) hearing about this anime coming out and seeing the art and thinking about checking it out, but I couldn't find anywhere to watch it.
Well a year later (2010 ;P) while looking for a place to watch Bakuman I found Amagami SS in their playlist thingy.
I started to watch it a week before Christmas and the story kinda revolves around Christmas (which I thought was cool considering) because on Christmas Eve our main character Junichi.

 About the series:
It's a romantic anime series that follows the story of a second-year student named Junichi Tachibana who's afraid to love and doesn't like Christmas because 2 years prior to the series start,
a girl stood him up on a date on Christmas Eve and broke his heart.
But this time around, he'll meet six girls
from his school named:
Haruka Morishima, Kaoru Tanamachi, Sae Nakata, Ai Nanasaki, Rihoko Sakurai, and Tsukasa Ayatsuji
and get a shot at love with each of them and will finally have a "Merry" Christmas again.

Now some of you might have noticed that I really like Anime and have watched my fair share of anime series (and still do!) but never hear I me talk too much 
about American cartoons.

Truthfully, when I was a kid I'd watch cartoons like spongebob,rugrats,doug,powerpuff girls,etc.. all the time.

As I've gotten older however (and lost cable) I haven't really watched cartoons and pretty much lost interest in that kind of media.

Though lately there are a few that have peaked my interest that I've managed to catch.

Girls and Gaming

When you think of a video gamer, what gender comes to mind first?

If you said "Male", then you're in the majority, since Females don't have as much of a presence in the video game market as guys.

Especially with all the Violence, Sex appeal, and all the other stuff that mainly interest guys.

Recently, I have been beginning to notice first hand that there are gamers that are girls. Also they could probably kick your butt (like they did mine ^^;) I'll admit, it's pretty cool to see another medium where both genders can enjoy and interact with each other without having to compromise.

The reason I say "recently" is because I just hooked up my XBOX 360 to XBOX LIVE after about 5 years (or so).

Playing online (with Mic and HeadSet) definitely proved to be an interesting and quite enjoyable experience.

If you're a first timer to online video gaming (specifically the XBOX LIVE), here's some mistakes you don't want to make (like I did) when playing with the opposite sex.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Mizore

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is Mizore Shirayuki from the fan service laden,harem comedy, anime series: Rosario + Vampire.

Mizore is a Yuki-onna ("Snow Woman"), and can control snow and ice at will, and she attends a school for monsters to learn how to fit in to the "Human" World. She's often seen with a mint lollipop in her mouth, to keep her cool. She becomes friends with a human who mistakenly finds himself in the same school with her a five other hot and cute monsters who become attracted to him for some odd reason.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Amu Hinamori

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is Amu Hinamori from the anime series: Shugo Chara

Amu's the popular girl at school for her "cool and spicy" attitude but what the others don't see is that she's really quite shy and introverted. She wishes she could just be herself without worrying what others think. The next morning to her surprise, she finds three colorful eggs that hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su.

2D Hottie Spot Light: C2

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is CC (or C2) from the anime series: Code Geass

After being found by an exiled prince of Britannia named Lelouch Lamperouge, she grants him the power of the mind-controling Geass in exchange for saving her life after being kidnapped by Area 11 (Japanese) rebels who believed they stole a deadly gas from the Britannian Army. She would become Lelouch's ally and go on to help him in his quest to overthrow Britannian Empire.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Eri Sawachika

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is: Eri Sawachika from the anime series: School Rumble

Eri Sawachika was born into a wealthy family and she is half-British and half-Japanese, and attends Yagami High School as one of the popular kids. She's envied by most students for her beauty,talent,and her luxurious life style many believe she leads.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Rukia

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is: Rukia Kuchiki from the anime series: Bleach (no,not Clorox Bleach ;)

She is a Soul Reaper (similar to a Grim Reaper) in the 13th Division who meets Ichigo Kurosaki (who sees dead people and other supernatural things) and gives him her Soul Reaper powers in order to fulfill her duty to protect the living and bring the wondering souls to the Soul Society.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Riza Hawkeye

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is Riza Hawkeye from the anime series: Fullmetal Alchemist.

She is a member of Amestris' State Military and Roy Mustang's most trusted subordinate (I hope he's worth it). She acts as his personal assistant and bodygaurd. She usually does the task he's too lazy to do, like paper work. ;) She always keeps her cool no matter how heated the situations gets. She also specializes is fire arms. You don't want'a be on the other side of her gun, unless you got a death wish.

2D Hottie Spot Light: Yoko

Today's 2D Hottie Spot Light is Yoko Littner from the anime series Gurren Lagann.

Yoko is an excellent marksman (woman) who hunts down Gunmen that have kept the people of the world driven underground for many years, until one day while hunting down a large Gunmen that crashes through the roof on a underground village where she then meets Kamina and Simon and they defeat the Gunmen with teamwork. After that, they became the team known as Gurren Lagann and wage war against the Beastmen and their Gunmen.

2D Hottie Spotlight: Raven

For The Month of February I'll be posting my thought on characters (the current header should give you some clues) from various TV and Anime series.

Today's 2D Hottie Spotlight is Raven From DC comics animated series: Teen Titans.

Raven is member of the superhero team: Teen Titans

She is half-demon and half human who has the powers of Telekinesis/levitation, teleportation, and some measure of empathic and healing abilities; also able to project a "soul self". Because of her demon father, she has to always keep her emotions in check, otherwise she could bring an end to the world.
